Credentials
Dr. Adams has been a licensed psychologist since 1986. She has worked in community
mental health settings, hospitals and private practices with a large variety of patient
populations.
She received a Bachelor's degree in Honor's Psychology from McGill University and a Ph.D.
in Clinical Psychology from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
Dr. Adams has received several prestigious academic awards, including the James McGill
award (McGill University's highest academic honor) and the Social Science and
Humanities Research Council Award (given to Canada's top 100 graduate students).
She is an accomplished public speaker and has presented seminars on a variety of topics
to both colleagues and lay persons.
